Either way, today I rode for the first time in a dressage saddle. And I learned that the way I've been holding the reins (and am in this pic) was allowing him to just pull them right through my fingers, which would account for why I kept thinking his head was sticking out a bunch. He looked and felt much nicer after she helped me, and I wish I'd had her get the camera back out. Oh well... we'll try that another day. Just wanted to share this with ya'll!
And I've been really busy, but I am trying hard to keep up with everyone's posts, and encouraging/commenting whenever possible. So please bear with me :-) I am so jealous of ya'll that get to ride every day... I can only ride Thursdays and Saturdays, but sure do wish I could every day. I bet that would help me improve tenfold. haha...

Isnt it great to get someone out to help you! Also, looking at pics/video of yourself is priceless.
Cute pic. Keep up the good work.
By "priceless", Dare really means "painful". ;) But it is a great learning experience to look at pictures since they usually tell a very different story from what we think our bodies are doing! Plus, they're the norm on this blog so I'm very happy to see more Arab pics. :)
He's so cute!! And it's great that you had her help you, especially when trying to get used to a new saddle since that can be hard.
I think ya'll look good..he's a really cute horse!
Yay! A picture! More, please! :)
Don't be too hard on yourself, especially if this is the first time you rode in the dressage saddle!
