Dare and Mandros-show prep

Ive ridden Mandros for the past 3 days but my computer died (it started smoking) and the one Im on now is very slow. Anyway... we had some complications the first ride with me getting him to canter. He just wouldnt do it. The owner got on and he was fine, so I was the problem (which I figured anyway). I got back on and was able to make him canter. He has been acting different since the owner put him on a supplement that is giving him more engery. Thursday he was full of himself and a little hard to control.

Friday was better and he was easier to get into the canter, I just have to remember to sit back farther than I think I should (I tend to lean forward), and keep my legs long. I had a little problem getting him into the canter on the second test I practiced. I leg yeild right, and then right after Im on the rail, I canter right, so I have to change the position of my legs, and gather him up and PUSH with my seat.

Today I didnt have much trouble getting him into the canter, I was just a little late. He did take the wrong lead once, but it was because I forgot to change the position of my legs, so I asked for a flying change and he did it with no problem.

The supplement he is getting is really helping, he isnt wanting to break in the canter as much. The first day I rode him while he was on it he wasnt great, but I hadnt ridden in two days b/c of the rain. The show is tomorrow and I think Im ready. I got help from the owner for the past 3 days, so Im prepared. Ive emptied my camera card, so I can gets lots of video and pictures. And Kate is coming to watch!
