I am lazy and it's cold outside - So Skater Pony won't get ridden much this week, I'm afraid.
Instead, I have managed to finagle an RV spot at the Kentucky Horse Park for the Rolex 3 day this year. I am so psyched! Matt and I went last year and had a good time, but we wasted a lot of money on a crappy smelly hotel room. We said, "next year, we're getting a spot in the campground and bringing the RV." Well, thats great and all, but those spots get booked a year in advance! I called the campground and they don't create a waiting list until the week of the event. So...I had a bright idea that maybe someone would back out of their spot and I could snatch it up if I kept checking back online. Amazingly, this worked! I scored 3 nights at the KHP campground for 80 bucks! No traffic to fight with, no parking in the mud, we are set. We can stroll back for a lunch beer and head back out to watch the action taking our own sweet time. I can shop from 8am until closing (OMG, the shopping is heaven for horse-lovers) and then sleep later because I don't have to leave the hotel 2 hours before start time. Yep, we're living it up this year!
So, if anyone is going to Rolex - come find me and have a beer. Campsite 33 : )

Thats so awesome!!! I went 9 (yes 9!) years ago and it was a blast. I got a great deal on a saddle there, I still have that saddle and its still my favorite one.
Ive been seriously thinking about going back again soon, I had so much fun last time.
