In the meantime, I have been wanting to ride! A friend of mine at the barn also wanted to ride,
so I was able to borrow a horse from another friend so we could go riding together. Bo is a Paso Fino, definitely a different ride for me, but he was fun! :) We went up to the Sauratown trails, and rode for about two and a half hours. Gosh it was beautiful out there! It is really amazing how fast Bo can move those legs as he does his gaits! What fun! I didn't take a camera with me, but got some shots when we came back to share. Here is Bo!The second picture shows my friend Dee Dee and her beautiful Paint Apache in the background.

Both horses are beautiful!! Ive always wanted to run a Paso Fino. Does it feel like a TWH?
Going out and trail riding with friends is alot fun!!
Awww, they're so cute!! I've never ridden a Paso Fino, but it sounds really fun from what you describe. Keep us updated on Deuce!
To me, the Paso feels even better, and smoother, than a TWH...at least the ones I've ridden. Definitely different. I can't remember right off what each gait is called, but the Paso's fast one right before the canter is AWESOME!!! It just amazes me that those guys can move their legs SO fast! I think I've "officially" gotten 4th spot in line for the people who want Bo, LOL! Seriously. That horse is set for life!
Dee Dee was trying to get me to sell Deuce and go gaited. I just don't think I am ready to go gaited full time. I definitely am not ready to sell Deuce. Maybe adding a gaited one...
I will keep everyone updated on Deuce. He, we, could use some good vibes. :)
Ooh...Bo looks sexy with his thick forelock in the second pic!
I always thought that crazy Paso run looked uncomfortable b/c the legs are a-movin so quickly!
Jingles and good vibes for you and Deuce headed your way!
The pics are too cute! I'm glad you had a nice trail ride!
and gabby- it does LOOK uncomfortable, but in reality you don't MOVE in the saddle when they do that neat little rack-type thing! It's actually a lot of fun!
