I rode fabulous, trustworthy Hobbes last night. Since I'm going to try out another pony tonight...I figured I'd best be doing some jumping so I wouldn't have another meltdown at the thought of a 2' vertical (why is it that a crossrail w/ the middle at 2' is fine, but a 2' vertical is terrifying? I am usually off center anyway so we actually jump 3' over the outside!). So I set up a little course of crossrails and eensy verticals and we cantered and trotted over them until I was smiling again.
Thanks, Hobbes, and where were you when I was a kid?

Glad you had a good ride! Just keep doing that until you get your confidence back! When is his lease up btw?
Good luck in the horse-looking tonight!
I'm glad you had a good ride, too! I hope your horse shopping went well tonight! :)
I agree that a large crossrail looks smaller than a vertical at the same height. I guess its just the illusion of a smaller jump b/c the middle part is smaller.
Im glad you had a good ride. Having a trustworthy mount to show you the ropes and build confidence is a great thing to have. I also wish I would have had a Hobbes when I was a kid.
Good luck with the horse shopping!! Is that Hobbes???? He looks SO darn cute!!
Yep, that's Hobbes..he IS cute! Look how big his head is! Its no wonder he likes me to hold it up under saddle..that thing must be heavy!
