Well, I know everyone is going to be shocked when I say this, but I took Pepsi to Alex's clinic this weekend and came back with a new horse!! His name is Fred and I just love him to death! He is sooooooo cute and well-behaved!! I'm afraid I might be confusing poor Fred though, because I keep calling him Pepsi! (Everytime I did that this weekend Alex was like, "His name is NOT Pepsi, it's Fred!")
And just so I don't COMPLETELY freak you all out, Pepsi IS Fred. ;) There was just SUCH a complete turnaround in his behavior that he really does SEEM like a different horse, so Alex wants me to change his name. :D
Anyway, the clinic was INCREDIBLE. Alex is really good at breaking things down so you can understand them easily and telling you WHAT you're doing wrong and HOW to correct it. Groundwork is SOOOOO not my forte, but she helped me grasp some really essential concepts and Pepsi responded really well to them. (Oops, I mean Fred! :p)
We did lots of driving forward, changing eyes and direction, de-spooking, working on herdbound issues, and we even got the chance to chase a cute little Molly and her attached cart! (Horse and wagon despooking! Yay!)
Anyway, I'm exhausted and I STILL have to study, clean the house and go to bed so I can get up early tomorrow. I'm sure Alex will come on and give some more/better details soon!

WHERE ARE THE PICTURES?!?!? If it was a clinic you should've had pictures!!! I want more details! How does FredPepsi feel about all of this?

I've gotten to finish cleaning and then go give pookie-head a bath. I'll update/explain more when I get back tonight!

thats so awesome ! Its so great to see one turn around like that. Ive been subject to that "magic" myself and people just do NOT believe that my horse used to be a freak ! lol Yay ! good for you Mary for sticking with PepFred lol
