I sort of rode today....

but was too lazy to really do much! I woke Hobbes up from his midday nap, tacked him up, and went out into the heat of the afternoon. We plodded around making no real effort to do much and then finally gave up and stood in the middle to chat with a friend, who I rarely see. Hobbes quickly went back to his nap as I ran my mouth.

I did begin breaking in my new boots, though. That's sort of an accomplishment, right? I have bought used boots (or rubber ones, as a kid) for my entire life and my fabulous SO gifted me some custom Vogels for my b-day last year. They showed up this week (6 months of waiting) and I did the 'ol soak and wear. Terrified me to soak my brand new boots that are more expensive that my entire wardrobe. Luckily...they're really breaking in nicely. Now...if I can just figure out how to get them off. Right now I'm waiting for Matthew to get home so he can pull them off....

I love new boots!! So yes, add me to the list of jealous people. And there's always time to talk to friends. :)

Hahaha, I used to make my brother pull my boots off all the time. He was so happy when he found out about boot jacks, and bought me one for my birthday. :)
