Well, I know I haven't been posting much because I haven't been able to ride, which is what I SO wanted to do this summer. It is not because I haven't wanted to ride! I have really enjoyed keeping up with everyone else's posts, though!
Deuce did go to the vet yesterday to get his teeth floated and to work on figuring out what is wrong with him. I felt really bad, because I have just been letting him hang out for the last three weeks after doing a LOT to work him up myself to figure out what is wrong. Everything was VERY vague and just "not right" then. Well, I palpated his back before heading to the vet yesterday and he was a LOT worse. :(
I wanted to briefly update and say that I will post in full ASAP. We figured out a few things yesterday, and are waiting for blood work and urinalysis to come back today, and then I will have more complete info to add to yesterday's workup. Deuce DOES have a mighty fine set of chompers on him now, but he (and I) really need good thoughts, prayers, jingles, etc. right now. Thanks all. I also have photos to post! :)

Good luck! I had to deal with undiagnosed iffy-ness on my horse for awhile and was told it could be the start of navicular changes or even laminitis, but luckily the x-rays came back with just arthritic changes. So I know how nerve wracking it can be! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Oh, no! Poor Deuce. Ill be thinking of you guys.
Yay Christie!!! I was wondering where you both had been. :)
Poor Deuce...jingles for him! We'll be waiting for the full update. You're fortunate to have that vet school experience under your belt, I bet!
Jingles and good thoughts headed your way! Definitely keep us posted!
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about Deuce's issues...indeterminate lameness is awful, I agree.
Good luck and jingles for Deuce.
Yes, Kate, I am fortunate to have the vet experience. There are two drawbacks I have found so far, though: 1) I know too many of the unlikely but possible diagnosis out there, most of which are not so nice! and 2) It is bad to be on the 'wrong' side of the fence at this point...it is TERRIBLY expensive as you all know! [For example, when I KNOW what to do but don't have the resources or LICENSE!]
I hope to get his update posted tonight. Today has just been hectic for me. I have appointments tomorrow...if not tonight or tomorrow, then VERY soon! Thanks for all the well wishes! :)
