Deuce has been one VERY sore pony since his shoes were pulled Saturday. He is sore on all 4 feet, but is especially bad on the right front where his angle was changed the most. I was out of Bute over the weekend or I would have given him some. I talked to the vet today, and I am going to pick up some Bute and put him on that for a few days to see if that will make him more comfortable while he is settling in to his 'new' feet. We are going to try that first so that hopefully he won't have to go back into shoes right now so we can see how his hooves are wearing on their own. His Vitamin C also came today, so cross your fingers that he will eat it without too much fuss!
Bo is also hanging in there. The vet thinks he will come back to be riding sound. We all certainly hope so!

Have you tried the sole hardening stuff - Keratex, I think?

Thanks all. Gabby thanks for the suggestion. I may try something like that, but I really think most of the soreness is coming from his angles being changed to where they should be.
I was able to go see Bo with his owner last night, and he was acting like his spunky self, so that is a good sign!
