So we rode this morning, and just went on a trail ride. I was really, really sore from our workout Thursday, so was thankful for an easy ride. But man, today Pat was super energetic... jigging, and hopping around, trotting in place, trying to canter with teensy weensy little bucks. It was funny. His owner asked me a couple times if I needed her to get on, but I was fine. I felt like I had a better seat with him acting crazy than when he is normal. Wish I could have got some pictures. She jumped on him a few minutes when we were done to make sure that he wasn't just acting out, but he was just acting crazy. But boy, he was sure pretty jigging around like that with his little arab tail flying. :-)
And for the record, we did check all of his tack and feet and felt all over him to make sure he wasn't hurting or uncomfortable in any way and that was causing it. I guess it was just a beautiful day!

Thats great that you stayed calm when the horse was jigging and acting goofy.
Ive had some bad trail/cross-country experieces and most have started like that, so usually get nervous when that happens.
Glad to hear he's feeling good and that it didn't bother you! ...and good for you to make sure it wasn't caused by a physical problem!
I'm glad you had fun, even though he was being a little 'up!'
Keep up the good work on him Charlie!
